Why Couldn't You?

Have you ever asked, “Why didn’t God answer my prayers?”

Have you ever wished for something to happen, but it didn’t? Have you ever wondered why you couldn’t get along with your sister, love your neighbor, save your marriage, lose the weight, get that car, or anything else you prayed for that you didn’t get an answer to?

It may surprise you to learn that you may have had a part to play in your prayers not being answered! You prayers may not have been answered because you had so little faith! Your faith was too little to accomplish it!

“What?” you ask. “My faith? My prayers weren’t answered because of my faith? How could that be?”

Peter, James, and John had the same question. These disciples couldn’t figure out why their prayers weren’t being answered either. They asked Jesus about it.

Matthew 17:19-20a
Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, “Because you have so little faith...”

Because they had so little faith! It was their lack of faith that kept their prayers from being answered.

Sometimes it’s hard to have faith for something, isn’t it? We pray about something, but because it is such as large request, we don’t even believe it can be answered. If we need healing, a new car, or a solution to a problem relationship, the answer seems so impossible we don’t have any faith for it. We say a prayer because we feel we should, asking God to somehow take care of it, but we don’t really believe it can be done.

Exploring Life in Heaven

Immortal Life Can Flow Into Your Physical Body Now!

In heaven every fruit tree is constantly producing fruit. Every flowering plant is always flowering because of God’s presence.

There is immortal life in heaven. And that immortal life can flow into our physical body right now!

We don’t have to wait until heaven to have a healthier, stronger body!

How can that be?

When we are born again, God’s presence comes into us. The power of God that raised Jesus from the dead is now in us. We become citizens of heaven.

Philippians 3:20 says that our citizenship is in heaven. Since we are already citizens of heaven, we have access to the powers of heaven. Through the Holy Spirit, we actually have the power of heaven flowing through us!

So a taste of immortality can come in your body now! Your physical body can still be healthy and young. You can grow in age but your body does not need to get sick! You could have a healthier body depending on how much you tap into immortality.

Think about Abraham and Sarah as an example of this. God told Abraham that he would make him the father of many nations. Abraham was an old man at the time. Sarah, his wife, was also an old woman. Time went on and still no children, but I believe that instead of growing older, they became younger each day!
